"Myrtle and Annie have grown up together in a remote Scottish fishing port. Their friendship remains deep, even after they have both married, but when one husband is responsible for the other's death in an accident on board their boat, their closeness is put to the ultimate test."
Oh I loved this book, I really did. It was such a cosy read.
It is about how two friends grow up together and marry fishermen. The story goes through their lives from when they were children into adulthood. Through their laughter to their arguments and love lives.
It is quite an emotional read and if you are looking for a book to read as you drink with your Coco next to a warm fire. Then this book is your you. It's not overly exciting but it's not boring either. It's just so lovely and cosy.
It's up in my top ten of the best books I've ever read.
Verdict: Beautiful.
